THEMIS

Themis draws his listeners to the darker side of rock music. He perfectly combines gloom with a touch of bitter-sweetness, emotional longing and a huge portion of Queer-Power and punk-attitude. Him and his live-band have spent the last four years fanning the flames of a growing and loyal fan base and recently played successful Tours as supportacts for alternative-bands like BLACK HONEY, THE PALE WHITE and SMILE.
Themis' musical blend of Garage Rock, Indie and Post-punk may remind of artists the likes of The Kills, PJ Harvey and The Black Angels.
After touring and releasing the debut-album “The Heavy Door”, which gained critical acclaim, they decided to write, record and produce the next record "Thalassa".
On "Thalassa" (Greek: the sea), Themis delves much deeper into the intoxicating mix (...) Mehr anzeigen of dark reverb-laden melodies, searing dirty grunge-riffs and noisy, driving drums hinted at on songs like "Night Thoughts" or "Roses Of Deceit"- as wide and heavy as the sea itself.
