Act of Worship

Elements of five combative forces joined together in a distinctive array of musical elation merging with death metal intensity to create a wicked art form known as
ACT OF WORSHIP:

Act Of Worship was formed in 2005 by Björn Schimmelpfennig (guitar) and
Christoph Abels (drums) in Cologne, Germany, with the intention of playing monumental
black death metal on down-tuned 7-stringed glaives forged of the infernal rain of fire.
At first both had serious problems finding proper musicians who fit the concept of AOW, which lead to frequent changes of guitarists and singers.

The setup was completed in May 2008 with Eduardo Vizzarro (guitar), Florian
Geiling (bass) who switched from tech-death band “Sayn”, and Daniel “Rittmeister”
Goerlich (vocals). The Black Legions EP was released shortly after.

Despite several setbacks and a split-up in 2010, Björn and Eduardo kept up the work and developed new sounds for the upcoming material while looking for new musicians.
Finally in 2011/12 the setup was again completed with Hennig “Nekroflesh” Auer (vocals) from Vermis, Clemens Mayer (bass) from “Massdeception” and Daniel Schneider (drums) from “Syranic”, and the band released the Temple Of Marduk EP with three new mind-blowing tracks, mastered by none other than the iconic Dan Swanö.

The new lineup hit the stage on June, 1st, 2013 and burned Club Carnage in Düsseldorf. Further live massacres are already scheduled, and new songs are generated, so that the continued devastation of audiences is inevitable. Hail and Kill! Weniger anzeigen
