Barreleye rose up from the roots of Thrash Death Metal on melodic and progressive paths. Its first evidence of life was the release of the Virus EP in 2014, two years after Barreleye’s establishment. Once a stable line-up unfolded, numerous local shows were performed, followed by the release of the first full length album “Urged To Fall” in 2015. A powerful live performance combined with a good number of concerts organized at that time helped to quickly gain a visibility along with a fan base.
In 2016, after a new member on the drum set joined the ranks, Barreleye began producing a new release. The year ended up with a second successful tour. But at the beginning of 2017, Barreleye has lost its voice, forcing a break until a new one was found. It took half a year to finally regain vocal ex (...) This stage of life can also be seen as the reinvention of Barreleye, since the new vocals arrangements opened doors to an aesthetic expansion. The first shows were euphorically celebrated.
Barreleye will go on strong with the release of the new EP named “Insidious Siren”. Based on a lyrical triptych, this creation of spiritual arrangements leads to an intoxicating flow of energy combining thrash grooves with atmospheric vibes. Weniger anzeigen
