GIGAMASH lässt westliche Klänge mit fernöstlichen, asiatischen Elementen verschmelzen. Nicht nur „mega“ sondern „giga“ ist der Flirt zwischen Elektro- und akustischer Musik, zwischen verschiedenen musikalischen und kulturellen Einflüssen. GIGAMASH ist vom Namen eines sagenumwobenen sumerischen Königs abgeleitet. Mystik und Dramatik treffen in den Texten aufeinander. Im Song „Ringing My Soul“ werden Zitate vom englischen Dichter Wordsworth verwendet und mit Sitar-Klängen untermalt, wodurch der melodramatische Charakter dieser Ballade eine mystisch angehauchte Exotik erhält. In „Mother and Child“ fusioniert Jazz mit Psychedelic Trance und schafft eine Hymne. Die Power Ballade “Love Turns To Pain”, die indische Percussion wie Tabla mit Rock- Drums kombiniert, zeigt wie GIGAMASH ein (...) Mehr anzeigenen neuen Sound erschafft und trotz der Vielfalt an Einflüssen eingängige Songs kreiert.
GIGAMASH wird von einer Anzahl hochkarätiger Gäste unterstützt: Lelonek, zuständig für Mixing und Programming, arbeitete in London mit Talvin Singh und seiner Anokha Crew zusammen. Yogendra, bekannter Musiker der Gruppe Indigo Masala, ist für die psychedelischen Sitar Klänge verantwortlich. Gregor Syzch, der die Live –Drums bei „Mother And Child“ im ersten Take eingespielt hat, studierte an verschiedenen renomierten Musikhochschulen Europas und etabliert sich als einer der versiertesten Schlagzeuger im Jazz und Rock Bereich.

GIGAMASH combines Western sounds with Eastern and Asian elements. Not only is it a “mega” but a “giga” flirt between electronical and acoustic music, between a diversity of musical and cultural influences. GIGAMASH refers to the name of a legendary Sumeric king. Mystical and dramatic elements are combined lyrically. The song “Ringing My Soul” cites the English poet Wordsworth whose words are embedded by the sound of a Sitar underlining the mystical and exotic character of the Song. The jazzy sound of “Mother and Child” feels like a journey to the realms of fantasy captivating with psychedelic symbolism. The power ballad “Love Turns to Pain” combines Indian percussion like the Tabla with rock drums. This demonstrates perfectly how GIGAMASH establishes a new sound, and in spite of the diversity of influences is able to create popular music.

GIGAMASH is supported by a group of highly qualified guests: Lelonek who takes care of the mixing and programming process worked with Talvin Singh and his Anokha Crew in London. Yogendra, famous musician of the group Indigo Masala is responsible for the psychedelic sitar sound. Gregor Szych who played the live drums on “Mother And Child” studied at some of the most prestigious music academies in Europe and is one of the most talented drummers.
