Counter Jib

Driven by sheer adrenaline and testosterone, sounding pure, primal and catchy as hell. Rough but obtainable, like tense muscles under soft skin. Just three dudes with their instruments bringing the best they have to offer. That’s Counter Jib.

Counter Jib saw the light in March 2013. After a few months they came with the well-received EP Secret Showroom, barely a year later their debut-album Mirk & Marvel is here, realised through crowdfunding. The speed with which they write matches the explosive energy they bring on stage. Without comprimise, the band takes this energy and, with bare hands, molds it into burly songs.

Where this sudden fire stems from remains unknown. Maybe it’s because the trio grew up listening to bands like Nirvana, Foo Fighters and Queens Of The Stone Age. Or maybe i (...) Mehr anzeigent’s just because the world has use for unpolished, in-your-face rock music. Fact is that the former roommates Florian Wolff, Rolof Groothoff and Wouter de Graaf got to blow off some steam and will grab you by your guts doing so.
