Not just kick-ass rock, but a bone-shaking aural SLAP that kicks you awake, like leaning against a jet engine tuned to E flat, like stepping off a cliff and landing face first into a bass guitar plugged into a hydroelectric power station, like putting on a record that bursts into flame as it starts to spin (but still rocks), like the perfect air guitar concert without the air…
Founded in 2010, Ørefik have crafted their own sound to an almost eery perfection. They regularly interrogate the collected works of AC/DC, Motörhead, Orange Goblin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Audioslave, Carburators, Peer Günt, Gary Glitter, and delight audiences with an expanding list of astonishingly awesome original material (...) The classic guitar, bass and drums line-up provide a foundation at the cusp of industrial hearing loss on the most satisfying scale, only to be topped by one of the most incredible female rock voices in the country. Ørefik ist Norwegisch und bedeutet so viel wie Ohrfeige. Und genau so tønen Ørefik aus Zürich, nicht nur Kick-Ass Rock, sondern auch die Ohrfeige, die einen wachrüttelt. 2010 ursprünglich als reine Coverband gegründet entwickelten Ørefik ihren Ureigenen Sound der auch allen Covers ihren unverkennbaren Stempel verleiht. Ihr Repertoire umfasst neben Songs von Motörhead, AC/DC, Orange Goblin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Audioslave, Carburetors, Peer Günt, Garry Glitter, u.a. auch immer mehr Eigenkompositionen.
