Reactive Black

REACTIVE BLACK was founded in late 2005.

Our primary intention is to describe musically the self-destroying tendencies of mankind and the dark, too often hidden and repressed aspects of being human. We aim to express our thoughts and feelings without restrictions.

The name REACTIVE BLACK reflects this notion of facing your feelings and fears, acknowledging their significance and living them out freely.
We understand our music primarily as an expression of ourselves.
Every song articulates a certain feeling or thought concerning our society, ridden with pathological delusions of grandeur, and its ideals, which we won't accept nor tolerate.

Our lyrics are drawn from our own experiences.
They deal with disappointment, dreams and hopes and not least with a well-placed hatred for dull (...) Mehr anzeigen followers with no sense of individuality.
They are melancholic and dark, not in a negative sense but as food for thought for the intent listener who reads between the lines.
Driving but consciously simple guitars and thumping drums, ensnared by bittersweet melodies and broad keyboard surfaces are basis and antipole to Skeleton's unique, deep voice which fascinates and transports the listener into another sphere with its dark eroticism.

We describe our music as a mixture of Doom Blues and Dark Rock.

In late 2007 we released our first album "UPCOMING EVIL" and have been part of the international press with interviews etc such as German Legacy Magazin or Darkspy etc.

The second album "A NEW DAWN..." was released in may 2010 via Echozone.

On this record we followed our way and designed a very dark and sinister atmosphere, again apart of all gender stereotypes.

REACTIVE BLACK is part of Zillo Magazine, Gothic Magazin or Break Out Magazine, with interviews and sampler tracks.

Currently we are working hard on new material, a new video and a new live line up!
