RESPAWN

THE SOUND:

Based in the young capital Berlin, the pulse of that high voltage city is the pulse of RESPAWNs music. Fast and energetic riffing, pushed forward by roaring bass and driven by frantic drumming, is the foundation of their sound. It is as loud and aggressive as the rushhour and as rude as the people in the streets. This rough urban sound is balanced by melodies as diverse as the individuals within the anonymous mass. influenced by the surrounding madness of everyday chaos, RESPAWN create a soundtrack to the life in our highspeed world.

THE FACTS:

RESPAWN was founded in Berlin in 2002 by Matthias Busch (g), Eddie Mond (g), Clemens Glombitza (b),Shumon Chakrabarti (d) and Roland Peters (v). In the same year a four track demo was released. The band started to play live shows and r (...) Mehr anzeigenecorded the five track EP "Nature..s Foul Child" in 2004. The EP received excellent reviews from audience and press. As a result the band performed numerous shows in Germany and Poland and even hit Luxemburg. 2005 and early 2006 established the energetic and neck-breaking live shows of RESPAWN.

In October 2006 Roland Peters left the band because of personal reasons. Only four months later a new front man was found with Mirko Prietzsch. The band immediately finished with songwriting and recorded their debut album while Eddie Mond (g) quitted his work in RESPAWN.

“The Chaos Engine” features Rooky (Orphan Hate), Vincent Laboor (Sinners Bleed) on lead guitars, Torsten Pfundt (Mors Cordis) as additional vocal character and Ralf Valentin on the Piano. Tobias Schröder completed the line-up on guitars in summer 2008. Doing some kick ass shows the band made it to win the wacken metal battle for germany (east). RESPAWN just signed a deal with Nicrothal Records to release "The Chaos Engine" in early 2009. Weniger anzeigen
