IN BLACKEST VELVET

In the beginning of 1998 a couple of musicians from well-known bands of the local metal scene joined together with a purpose to set marks in today's modern metal styles. Born out of passion and true belief in music, "In Blackest Velvet" was formed, testifying the founding of a new combination of aggression and versatility. Since then the aim was to enrich and to perfect death metal with innovation and inspiration.

After a few line-up changes, they were consequently working to improve their material and their live performance. First few live gigs already showed up an enormous increase in popularity beyond the boundaries of the local scene and manifested the name "In Blackest Velvet". Therefore it wasn't surprising that record labels got interested in the band. In spring 1999 they signed a (...) Mehr anzeigencontract for their first album which will be released by Martin Koller, owner of the nameful and uprising label "Prophecy Productions". Because of the difference in material, sound and image of "In Blackest Velvet" compared to their labelmates, their output will be published under the sublabel "Sturmesfluegel" that had been founded to set a base for harder and more aggressive music.

Future steps in the history will be to push creativity and energy into new forms of metal, always thankful for the attention and feedback of those who got in touch with their work. Their professional and serious understanding of music will force them to bring up the best. Weniger anzeigen
