The song was written back in mid-2019 after an intense experience of great emotional chaos. „Symptoms" is a calm rock song about one-sided love: the loving part is destroyed piece by piece, while the other seems to be playing with it. You are at a loss as to what else to do, but there is nothing you can do. You think a lot, you can't fall asleep and time passes. You are confused and helpless and at the same time electrified, but in the end the pain is so great that you have to let go if you don't want to burn with it in the fire.
