CONCLUSION OF AN AGE zelebrieren auf „Captains And Kings“ raffinierten Modern Melodic Metal
Mit ihrem Debütalbum „Captains And Kings“ sprechen CONCLUSION OF AN AGE aus Rothenburg ob der Tauber insbesondere Fans zeitgemäßer Metal Combos wie Avenged Sevenfold oder Trivium an und lassen sich dabei auch von ihren Idolen Metallica inspirieren. Produziert von Timon Seidl im Red Audio Studio (u.a. Visionatica, Rawkfist) und gemastert im legendären Gate Studio von Miro Rodenberg (Edguy, Kamelot, Brainstorm) legen die fünf Musiker mit ihrem Album sowie ihrem besonderen Gefühl für die richtige Mischung aus Melodie und kraftvoller Härte einen mehr als guten Start hin. Dass CONCLUSION OF AN AGE etwas aus der Reihe der jungen Nachwuchsbands fallen, beweist schon der Sieg beim Metal Hammer Paradise Festival Band Contest 2016, wo sie nicht nur die Redakteure mit ihrer modernen Stilkombination aus melodiösen Gitarrenriffs, Drumtracks und dem Gesang am oberen Ende des hörbaren Frequenzbereichs unterhalten haben. „Captains And Kings“ erscheint am 21.07.2017 über Dr. Music Records und wird Freunde aktueller melodiöser Metal Klänge in seinen Bann ziehen.
Was hat das Konsolengame ‘Guitar Hero‘ mit der Gründung von CONCLUSION OF AN AGE zu tun? Ganz einfach, ohne dieses Game in der ‘Metallica Edition‘ hätten Michael und Julian Kaiser sowie ihr Klassenkamerad Kevin Di Prima nicht ihre Liebe zum Metal und harter Gitarrenmusik entdeckt. Nach zahlreichen Stunden Zockerei und endlosen Battles bekamen die beiden Brüder ihre erste gemeinsame Gitarre geschenkt. Aus dieser Geschichte entstanden quasi wenige Jahre später die ersten Gehversuche als Metalband. Beim gemeinsamen Abiturkonzert 2013 wurde dann auch gleich mal „Master Of Puppets“ angestimmt. So ist schließlich aus einer Schülerband die ernstzunehmende Metal Band CONCLUSION OF AN AGE entstanden. Bereits 2014 nahmen die Gitarristen Julian und Michael Kaiser, Frontmann Kevin Di Prima sowie Bassist Micha Mangold und Schlagzeuger Philip Deuer ein Demo in einem Erlangener Tonstudio auf. Kurz darauf lernten sie in einem Nürnberger Club den Produzenten Timon Seidl kennen und der Rest ist Geschichte. Diese liegt nun in Form des großartigen Albums „Captains And Kings“ samt seinen abwechslungsreichen neun Songs schön verpackt in einem von der französischen Designerin Camille Caillé Bichet aufwändig gestalteten Digipak vor. Mitreißende Gitarrenriffs gepaart mit druckvollem Schlagzeugspiel und die markant über allem thronende Stimme von Kevin Di Prima sorgen dafür, dass die Platte von der ersten Sekunde an zündet. Los geht es mit dem atmosphärischen Intro „Arms Race“, das mit einem Gewitter sowie gefühlvollen Streichern und Trommelwirbel den eigentlichen Opener „Infinite War“ einleitet, bei dem CONCLUSION OF AN AGE direkt zeigen, wie die Marschroute der kommenden 47 Minuten aussieht. Melodiöser epischer Gesang gepaart mit zeitgemäßen technisch anspruchsvollen Gitarrenläufen. Für ein Debütalbum einer Truppe Anfang 20 legen die Bayern schon eine beachtliche kompositorische Größe an den Tag. Das epische „The Broken Throne“ überrascht zudem mit gefühlvollen Gitarrenharmonien im Mittelteil und einer außerordentlichen Progressivität. Der Titelsong „Captains And Kings“ beginnt mit einer prägnanten Melodie, die vage an das ‘Games Of Thrones‘ Intro erinnert, bevor sie dann aber direkt mit einem wahren Unwetter aus energischen Gitarrenriffs und fulminanten Trommelschlägen in den Song starten. Weiter geht es mit spannenden Chorelementen, über denen immer die markige Stimme von Sänger Kevin thront. „Days Turn Into Night“ wiederum klingt wie die Symbiose aller guten Eigenschaften der Band konzentriert in einem Song. Vielleicht auch deshalb wird der Track auf dem Sampler der Juni Ausgabe des SLAM Magazins zu finden sein und ist auch als erstes Musikvideo in Zusammenarbeit mit Limlights Productions vorab veröffentlicht worden. Mit „Tyranny Falls“ wenden sich die Mittelfranken gegen alle Tyrannen dieser Welt. Der Song ist ein Aufruf zusammen zu stehen und sich gemeinsam gegen Despoten dieser Welt zu wenden.
Musikalisch immer auf der Höhe der Zeit und mit kreativen kompositorischen Ideen garniert macht das CONCLUSION OF AN AGE Debüt über die komplette Distanz Spaß und weckt das Interesse auf weitere Veröffentlichungen. Jetzt gilt es „Captains And Kings“ einem breiten Publikum vorzustellen und genau darum geht es für die Musiker ab sofort auch auf die ‘Tyranny Falls Tour‘ 2017. Vor den Konzerten sollte sich der geneigte Metalfan schon mal das neue Album besorgen!

CONCLUSION OF AN AGE from Germany especially appeal to fans of Modern Metal combos like Avenged Sevenfold or Trivium with their debut album “Captains And Kings” and also get their inspiration from their idols Metallica with it. What has the video game ‘Guitar Hero’ to do with the foundation of CONCLUSION OF AN AGE? It’s simple – without the ‘Metallica Edition’ of this game Michael and Julian Kaiser as well as their classmate Kevin Di Prima would have never discovered their love for Metal and hard guitar music. After numerous hours of gaming and endless battles the two brothers got their first guitar together as a gift. A few years later the first steps as a Metal band resulted from this story more or less. In 2013 at their graduation concert they started playing “Master Of Puppets” right away. At last the serious Metal band CONCLUSION OF AN AGE turned out from a school band. In 2014 the guitarists Julian and Michael Kaiser, frontman Kevin Di Prima as well as bassist Micha Mangold and drummer Philip Deuer already recorded a demo at a recording studio in Erlangen. Shortly after they met the producer Timon Seidl at a club in Nuremberg and the rest is history. Now this is available in form of the brilliant album “Captains And Kings” including its varied nine songs, beautifully wrapped in a digipak which was elaborately designed by the French designer Camille Caillé Bichet. Thrilling guitar riffs paired with powerful drums and the striking voice of Kevin Di Prima ensure that the record kindles enthusiasm from the first second. It starts off with the atmospheric intro “Arms Race” with a thunderstorm as well as expressively strings and drum roll to induce the real opener “Infinite War” where CONCLUSION OF AN AGE directly show what the route of march looks like for the upcoming 47 minutes. Melodically epic singing paired with modern technically fastidious guitar-playing. For a debut album of a troupe in their early 20s the Bavarians already show a remarkably compositional significance. The epic “The Broken Throne” surprises with expressively guitar harmony in the middle and an exceptional progressivity. The title song “Captains And Kings” begins with a succinct melody that vaguely recalls the ‘Games Of Thrones” intro before it then directly starts with a true violent thunderstorm consisting of energetic guitar riffs and brilliant drumbeats into the song. It goes on with the exciting choir elements and the vigorous voice of singer Kevin sits enthroned on top of it. “Days Turn Into Night” though sounds like the symbiosis of all good qualities of the band concentrated in one song. This may be one of the reasons why the track can be found on the sampler of the SLAM Magazine’s June issue and the song was chosen to be the first music video which has been already released in cooperation with Limlights Productions. With “Tyranny Falls” the Germans turn against all the tyrants on this world. The song is an appeal to stand together and to turn against all the despots on this world.
Musically always up-to-date and with creatively compositional ideas guaranteed, the debut of CONCLUSION OF AN AGE is fun on the total distance and sparks interest on further releases. Now it’s time to present “Captains And Kings” to a wide public and that’s why the musicians are now starting their ‚Tyranny Falls Tour‘ 2017. The disposed Metal fan should get the new album already before the concerts!
