As CoVid was raging across the globe we started working on the successor of Dead Aesthetics. The pandemic made it almost impossible for us to rehearse regularly due to the meanwhile closed borders so we decided to do something more compact and ended up composing an EP. At that point we didn´t know it would only be the overture to something huge.
We took all our influences reaching from Classic Rock to Extreme Metal and just let it flow. The result were three brandnew songs – Tehom, Vanity is dawning and Come Eventide, come Evenfall. People of Ash is a little bit older and just didn´t want to fit on Dead Aesthetics but with its gloom, prophetic lyrics it suited perfetly on Conjuration Overture – Vanity is dawning (short: CoVid, btw.).
One last point to mention about the song Vanity is dawning: it is the prologue to the upcoming concept album, playing 20 years before the actual story about death, desperation, heresy and devastation takes its course.
