Both individually and in the context of the 21st century, "Mid 20s" by Lia J and Bastido reflects
the challenges and self-discovery of the twenties. With spring to summer sounds, the 12 songs
offer at times catchy melodies that easily find their place in playlists, on the radio, television or
café, but on closer listening unfold a complex thematic depth that encompasses climate crisis,
criticism of capitalism and self-acceptance.
