Inspired by the movie "El Sistema", "BOLÍVAR" is a homage to "Danzón No. 2" (composer: Arturo Marquéz) performed by the symphonic youth orchestra "Simón Bolívar" of Venezuela. 40 years ago José Antonio Abreu built a musical education system for children from bad social backgrounds, which led into one of the best symphonic orchestras in the world. This shows that music can effect such a strong energy to carry people through bad phases in their lifes. Our intention was to creat that energy in the moment of a live performance. Together with a great multimedia team from the University of Applied Sciences in Mittweida, we produced a two day live session at Herbert E. Graus Studio. Thanks to everyone catching the energy in that special song and making the session such a special experience.
