Die Kompositionen von SINEW lassen sich nur schwer kategorisieren - glücklicherweise liefern die Marburger mit der Wortschöpfung „Cinemascopic Alternative Rock“ gleich selbst eine Definition ihrer Musik. Dabei ist in erster Linie der Titel „The Beauty Of Contrast“ Programm, denn davon lebt dieses Debüt. Die Songs pendeln zwischen zerbrechlichen Passagen, kräftigen Melodien und aggressiven Ausbrüchen irgendwo zwischen Dredg, Muse und System Of A Down - alles wohldosiert und mit einer ordentlichen Portion Experimentierfreude gesegnet. Ein weiteres Plus ist die variable Stimme von Fronter Sascha Junker. Daraus entstanden sind einerseits herausragende Ohrwürmer (´One Drop´, ´Pre-Existence´), andererseits abgedrehte Stücke jenseits jeglicher Logik wie der spacige Rausschmeißer ´Lost/Found´ oder das verstörende Instrumental ´Sin Nada De Nada´, das von einer weiblichen, spanischen Stimme begleitet wird.
