Details

"first year. first love." is an early demo by newly formed Göttingen based band swayset. Moved by the swirling soundscapes and emotions of Slowdive, Nothing and Slow Crush, Niclas and Thorge both bring in different musical influences into the group under the banner of shoegaze and dream pop.

Five tracks were chosen from a set of about 12 songs. They have been recorded to show a range of styles and hope to inspire people in this area to join the duo to form a full band.

Right now departures, stream line, paradise bird and at last: snow are all instrumental songs with some already having lyric ideas or lyric phrases. To enable the full potential of the songs, vocals will hopefully soon be introduced to the tracks.

2024. the first year. the first meetings. the first jams. the first love.
