Imagine pure beauty.
Imagine an absolute ideal reality. What ever that may be for you. Imagine something so pristine - unreachable, but still hauntingly beautiful. It's to pure to be real, to think of having it. Now..what if this ideal reality, the supposed purpose of your life, started to crack? To lose its charade? What if you were wrong? What if the unreal were real and bliss had always been at your grasp? And you simply never tried because it's easier to have a goal you can't reach? Because you know that all this shiny idealism was merely an excuse to forget about everything that is wrong with you.
This song is begging for those things to stay unreal and for things to keep their mystery, so we can stay at peace for a little longer. Because as long as they stay pure we dont torture ourselves with worries, that it is our own fault we feel incomplete and lost.
The second this majestic idea becomes mundane, we are forced to look at our own shortcomings and realise that we could have had it all if we had been a braver version of ourselves.
