Die Wizard Promotions GmbH besteht seit Januar 2004.

Der Geschäftsführer und Miteigentümer Ossy Hoppe („the Wizard of OS“) gilt als Wegbereiter des Hardrock in Deutschland und arbeitete jahrelang im Management von Superstars wie Deep Purple, de-ren Erfolgsgeschichte er mitgestaltete. Auf vielen Welttourneen sammelte er Erfahrungen sowohl im Management, als auch im Veranstaltungsbereich. Er lebte mehrere Jahre in den U.S.A. und in England, wo er für Künstler wie das Electric Light Orchestra, Gary Moore und Andere zuständig war. Die welt-weite Karriere von Mike Oldfield ist ebenso mit Hoppe verbunden, wie die von Whitesnake.

Geboren wurde Ossy Hoppe als Sohn einer berühmten Circusfamilie und bereits mit 5 Jahren war er der jüngste Elefanten-Dompteur der Welt im Circus seiner Eltern, Circus (...) Mehr anzeigen Busch und Circus Hagenbeck! Hoppe heute: „Zwischen dem Rockbusiness und dem Circus gibt es nur einen Unterschied: Die Tiere im Zirkus sind nicht so gefährlich!“.

Nach seiner Rückkehr aus England im Jahre ’81 gründete er die Frankfurter Agentur Shooter Promo-tions, die sich besonders im Hardrock-Bereich profilierte und das größte Festival in diesem Musik-Segment veranstaltete: „Monsters of Rock“!

Danach war er 9 Jahre lang Partner in der Marek Lieberberg Konzertagentur und von 1998 – 2003 verantwortlich für die internationale Akquise bei der Deutschen Entertainment AG als Geschäftsführer von Global Concerts.

Über die Jahre hat Hoppe in seinen einzelnen Geschäftsfeldern mit Künstlern wie Aerosmith, Bee Gees, Tina Turner, Bon Jovi, Garth Brooks, Guns N´Roses, Bryan Adams, Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, Scorpions, U2, Kiss, Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Fleetwood Mac, Metallica und vielen anderen gearbeitet.

Die Wizard Promotions Konzertagentur GmbH führt diese Tradition seit Januar 2004 weiter und betreut oder betreute im Live Geschäft namhafte Künstler, wie u. a. U2, Iron Maiden, Kiss, Adele, Lady Gaga, Zucchero, Bon Jovi, Sting, Eric Clapton, Ozzy Osbourne und Metallica und fokussiert sich auch klar auf den Bereich New Talent.

Im März 2012 rückte Oliver Hoppe neben seinem Vater in die operative Geschäftsführung mit auf. Wizard Promotions bündelt damit zukünftig noch mehr Marketing- und Kommunikationskompetenz, um ihre Position als eine der führenden deutschen Konzertagenturen weiter auszubauen.

Seit Juni 2013 gehört die Wizard Promotions Konzertagentur GmbH zur DEAG Deutsche Entertainment AG.

Wizard Promotions Co. Ltd. was established in January 2004.

The managing director and part-owner, Ossy Hoppe („the Wizard of OS“), is regarded as having paved the path for hard rock in Germany and worked for years in management for such superstars as Deep Purple, whose success story he helped to create. He gath-ered expertise in management as well as in the event area on innumerable worldwide tours. He lived for several years in the USA as well as in England, where he was respon-sible for such artists as the Electric Light Orchestra, Gary Moore and many more. The worldwide career of Mike Oldfield is connected to Hoppe, as is that of Whitesnake.

Ossy Hoppe was born as the son of a famous Circus family and at the tender age of 5 he was the youngest elephant trainer in the world in his parent’s Circus, Circus Busch and Circus Hagenbeck! Hoppe today: „There’s only one difference between the Rock business and the Circus: The animals in the circus aren’t as dangerous !“.

After returning from England in ’76, he founded the Frankfurt based Agency Shooter Promotions, which specialized and established themselves in the area of hard rock and staged the biggest festival in this musical-segment: „Monsters of Rock“.

After that he was a partner in the Marek Lieberberg Concert Agency for 9 years, and from 1998 – 2003 he was responsible for the acquisition of international acts for the „Deutsche Entertainment AG“ as managing director for Global Concerts.

Over the years Hoppe has worked in different business areas with artists such as Aerosmith, Bee Gees, Bon Jovi, Garth Brooks, Guns N´Roses, Bryan Adams, Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, Scorpions, U2, Kiss, Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Fleetwood Mac, Metallica, just to name a few.

The Wizard Promotions Konzertagentur GmbH has continued in this tradition since Janu-ary 2004 promoting or has promoted the live performances of artists such as U2, Iron Maiden, Kiss, Adele, Lady Gaga, Zucchero, Bon Jovi, Sting, Eric Clapton, Ozzy Osbourne and Metallica and also focuses clearly on the area of new talent.

In March 2012 Oliver Hoppe joined his father in management operations, thereby en-hancing Wizard Promotions marketing and communications know-how for future pro-jects in order to advance their position as one of Germany’s leading concert agencies.
