According to the press, Monosphere released a “compositional masterpiece” (ShoutLoud) with “an emotional overall concept” (Time For Metal), which is a “dynamic, eclectic album” (Progresque), respectively a “highly exciting record” (Demonic Nights). “The Puppeteer” gets high praise from around the world for its unique blend of prog, post, mathcore, djent, neoclassical, and black metal. Sonically, the band’s album was received as “a real recommendation for fans of bands like Between The Buried And Me and Cult Of Luna” (Away From Life), a flattering statement as both bands are key influences to Monosphere’s songwriting, which is “measured in mathcore fashion” (Visions). All signs and reviews point to a very successful release, which was led by the release of four singles, three of them having conceptual music videos.
