Alejandro Hilton

Hello my name is Alejandro Hilton, a musician that begun to have interest in music from my early years. Since I was 11 years old, I was influenced by Michael Jackson, The Police, Beastie Boys, The Cure, NWA, OPP, Bob Marley, and many others, therefore I developed an interest in playing instruments, but since a drum set would be too expensive and noisy, I started playing the guitar.

It wasn’t till the beginning of the 21st century, that I started playing with my first blues band, where we made tribute to Eric Clapton, BB King and Stevie Ray Vaughan, from this band I recorded my first album, the band’s name was “La Vibra (The Vibe)”, and the album was “Primogénito (first born)”, but in 2007, the band split up, and I started my own solo project.

As a solo artist it was hard, due to the fact (...) Mehr anzeigen that everybody knew me as a bass player, and nobody knew I composed songs on the guitar. It was a hard path at the beginning, but little by little I started recording my own songs, my first single was “Antro de Rutina” in 2009; for its release I organized a student contest in which the winner got a prize of $300.00 for the making of its video, because of this video, the concept of making an animated series called “Un Rasta Astronauta y Los Perturbadores Cósmicos (An Astronaut Rasta and The Cosmic Disturbers)” was made. The singles that followed were “Rockero de Acero (Steel Rocker)”, “No lo puedo evitar (Can’t Help It)”, “Para qué? (What for?)” and others, single by single I started working in a non profit foundation, promoting my songs in the media, until I started working with North American band promoters, like Skid Row, among others.

In 2014 until now, I started touring South America, visiting more than 50 cities in Colombia, Ecuador, Perú, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Costa Rica and Nicaragua, promoting these singles, with the goal of recording a new album, but in the middle of my recording sessions, I decided to release the single “Anochecer (twilight)” recorded in Bocas del Toro, Panama, with which I had the chance to promote it with a small tour through Germany and Amsterdam, last year in 2018, I did another tour, from Panama, to Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico and the United States.

My new album, when I saw that nobody bought CD’s (compact discs) anymore, I decided to launch a crowdfunding campaign, to make my new album in an USB format, I finally got it made in Hong Kong, with 12 songs, 3 videos and a tour guide for musicians with stories and pictures of my tours, It also includes the book “Guía para el músico intergaláctco” (Guide for the intergalactic traveler) which describes how I did this tours, you can find it on amazon, kindle and google books. Berufliches

As a musician I have done many things, I started with a little blues band to play in bars, then played in bars different types of music(rock, reggae, blues, bossa, samba and salsa). I worked in a foundation as a coordinator to teach children how to play instruments, until I decided to organize major concerts with very well known artists, and had my own radio show in Panama. Currently I live in Germany, and continue recording my original music, and play some gigs, here and there.
