Beating stuff with wood:
Rock drumming is much more than just playing an instrument - it's attitude!

- Love what you play
- Feel what you play
- Play like you really mean it!

My approach on drums is physical.
My philosophy is simple: Play what the song needs - not the ego!
Simple drumming is more effective. Don't overplay - every beat has a meaning.
Less is more!

I love drummers like Tommy Lee (Mötley Crüe), Tommy Aldridge (Whitesnake/Ozzy), Phil Rudd (AC/DC), Rich Redmond (Jason Aldean) and others of hard hitting and yet grooving masters who manage to transfer the energy, the power and emotion of a song out to the audience. Not only sonic wise but as an overall experience.

For me it all started when I heard the groove of Mötley Crüe’s “Dr. Feelgood” for the very first time on AFN radi (...) Mehr anzeigeno as a kid.
I was hooked!

As I had my first drumsticks at the age of 5 there was no question what I wanted to be. Back then there was no Internet, no YouTube, there were tapes and records to play along to.
Yes, I am a mostly self-thought drummer with decades of experience on my record now.

I played drums for the band PUMP and recorded with them their 3rd album “Sonic Extasy”
We toured, played shows and festivals supporting bands like UFO, Alice Cooper, House of Lords, Powerwolf, Mob Rules, Nitrogods, Tim “Ripper” Owens, Vengeance, Gotthard, Foreigner and others.

After PUMP changed its name and singer to MIRACLE MASTER I played the drums on the record “Tattoed Woman” and we played shows in Britain, Switzerland and Germany.

With Miracle Master I had the honor to support one of my all time favorite bands ever: TESLA
After Miracle Master ended, I took a break from music until after the pandemic.

When my old friend Johnny Chadwick formed ROUGH’N’RUDE in 2023 I loved the songs and the vibe of the music.
The excitement was back and I play drums for ROUGH'N'RUDE live and on the now available album “GOOD ENOUGH TO EAT”.
A lot of dates to come!
