Francis Cartman

Francis (born 24.3.1989 as Francesco Famá in Licata, Italy) is a rapper, producer and also the founder and owner of IMPERATOR STUDIOS®, as well as a qualified audio engineer.
His pseudonym was given to him by a personal friend, referring to the ex New York Knicks player ‘Steve Francis’.
The surname derives from South Park character ‚Eric Cartman‘.
Francis discovered his musical ability at a very tender age. He took his first piano lesson at the very young age of six. With 10 years he had already begun to work on his early compositions. Inspired by legends, the likes of Dr.Dre, Eminem, T.I, Young Buck and The Game to mention a few, the young italian penned his first lyrics soon & performed them at local venues as a MC with just 12 years.
At 14 he discovered an affection towards sound produc (...) Mehr anzeigention. Starting with simple recording techniques, he taught himself to mix. Eventually leading him to working with friends.
In 2005 Francis had his first live performance & performed his self-written music infront of the crowds. Further stage performances followed in the same year. He featured in a Canadian radio station in 2006 in Toronto.
Late 2009, Francis decided to become an active individual in professional music production game. This lead him getting enrolled to SAE Institute Cologne, Germany & studied for almost a year before he took a break for over 15 months, due to financial reasons. He graduated successfully in 2013.
In summer 2012, he founded the label IMPERATOR STUDIOS®. Naming the label in honor of his great-Roman ancestors. Francis has worked on various projects ever since & has worked with familiar faces from the Hip Hop & RnB scene, the likes of Waka Flocka Flame, Kid Ink, Wiz Khalifa & Luca Dayz just to name a few.
