Janebodega's origins are set in the north-west of Germany, nearby the Netherlands. Since the age of six she was interested in playing music, first at her grandma's home, playing the piano. By the age of sixteen she bought herself an electric guitar and recorded her first solo-album.
Several band projects followed until 2000 when she became the lead singer and 2nd guitarist of TEN MILE RIDE (OS).
The band played Capitol (Hannover), Sumpfblume (Hameln), HDJ (Osnabrück) only to name a few and got airplay on osradio 104,8, ems-vechte-welle and WGLS radio 89.7 (USA). After they split in November 2002 jane went to Berlin to join an alternative band called Dropzone in Potsdam on guitar and vocals.
She also got involved into the electronic and hiphop music scene in Berlin/Potsdam and joined MOBLA (...) Mehr anzeigenon his work with DEAD RABBIT named "Schlaatz, rot, gold". She established some electro projects on her own; one rather minimal-folkish thing simply called "janebodega" featuring another cooperation with DEAD RABBIT that led to "mitten in Berlin", the other more focused on electronic beats with the name "ALIENMINDBENDERS" and underground hits like "safe from harm".
Since November 2011 jane is back in Osnabrueck and on the steely guitar and rockbeat side of life with SNAKESHIT ON A PLANE. The band recently played the Maiwoche in Osnabrueck twice also the glanz&gloria and bastard and is longing for more stages to rock! Weniger anzeigen
