I love the space the bass occupies between rhythm and melody. That middle ground is where I feel at home — locking in with the drummer and shaping the pulse from underneath. My playing is inspired by Stuart Zender, Tim Commerford, Stanley Clarke, Frank Bello, and Tom Kennedy, blending jazz‑rock energy with a deep funk pocket.

Virtuosity is great, but like Miles said: ‘Anybody can play. The note is only 20 percent. The attitude of the motherfer who plays it is 80 percent.’
