"Aside from Krokus, Swiss rock bands have had a hard time breaking onto the worldwide heavy metal stage. Well, that seems set to change now that DerHerold are on the scene. […] The concept is just loose enough for the listener to infer their own meaning, but tight enough to thread the songs together, making this an assured debut that promises much goodness to come." (Midland Rocks, UK)

"With this album, DERHEROLD demonstrates the courage to be diverse and yet manages to maintain a clear line through t (...) Mehr anzeigenhe vocals and production. The visual realization through accompanying comics and music videos supports the ambitious overall concept. An album that wants to be discovered beyond genre boundaries." (inHard, DE)

"From shock rock to progressive to a form of verbal irreverence, Derherold challenges as much as it surprises, both through his own personality and his influences, which include ZZ Top, Dream Theater, Alice Cooper and Pink Floyd. […] A fascinating discovery that we are now eagerly awaiting the continuation of." (Metal-Eyes.com, FR)

"It carries the raven’s message: “Be honest with yourself and the world you are in. Be a just being in everything you do”. Simple really, and yet so impossible. Which doesn’t mean you can’t try. The story of the herald is exciting and everyone should take a look at it, which is also possible musically in advance. […] it is a great entertainment idea that is suitably realized in every aspect." ([cuteanddangerous] To Go Berlin, GE) Weniger anzeigen
