Samu Barney Blanco

I'm a Spanish/American blues harmonica player with some experience touring in France together with Togolese guitarist Enselme Edorh. Had some good time in the blues scene in Toulouse, now looking for the same or better in Dresden and Berlin and surroundings.

I love the good old blues sound of Lightnin Hopkins, Sonnie Terry and Brownie McGhee, Hound Dog Taylor, also some Hill Country stuff like Robert Belfour and R.L. Burnside. I like Chicago blues like Eddie Taylor, James Cotton, Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Howlin' Wolf, Paul Butterfield, Eddy Clearwater, Buddy Guy and Junior Wells and many other I leave behind!

Modern influences: Charlie Musselwhite, Cedric Burnside, Ben Harper, Taj Mahal, Eric Bibb, Ali Farka Touré, Boubacar Traoré and Vincent Boucher (yes, I love the West African a (...) Mehr anzeigennd Malian stuff too). Weniger anzeigen
