“Don’t Give Up the Ghost” is about setting fire to the past. The latest release from the indie rock quartet EVERDEEN from Stuttgart, Germany, this is a post-punk soundtrack to an imaginary high-speed car chase film, whose lyrics take you on an escape from a decaying city haunted by old memories. Propelled by edgy drums, ethereal female vocals and an angular guitar hook, this fist-pumping indie anthem’s message is ultimately one of hope: ”Head straight for the light/Don’t look back at any cost”. Supported by Motor Entertainment and an artist grant from Initiative Musik, this the first single from Everdeen’s debut album, scheduled for release on August 29th, 2021.
