Hard Drive Error

Looks like 3 projects were still not enough for me. Despite already being the vocalist of the BRAINFUCKERS FUN FOUNDATION, the renewed PESTICIDE and being a comicartist working on a GRAPHIC NOVEL sheduled for 2020/21 - I started HARD DRIVE ERROR in late 2019 - and I have plans for it!
After seven years with many ups and downs the last band of mine under[base] disbanded in 2016 and I thought I’d be done with music. I tried to get back to it on a few occassions but the flame I had burning for it for almost two decades seemed to had gone out finally. So I embraced my new-old passion for drawing comics and stepped deeper into the world of COMICART and ILLUSTRATION. (Really funny moment was when I stepped into the Entrance hall of Warner Music Germany because they hired me for some concept art (...) Mehr anzeigenthey needed to be done. I never made it into this place as a musician!) It seemed clear to me that I’ll always have more success as a visual artist than a musician and I was close to my 40s anyway and thought to be too old for this shit already.
Some day I had a chat with my old friend Peter who told me that his band is in need of a singer. I gave it a shot and joined them. The heavy music and the great camaraderie of the BRAINFUCKERS brought my spirits of doing music to new life and a new musical era began for me that still goes on. But as a songwriter you always have some tracks left that do not fit into the concept - and I had a whole bunch of them. Instead of locking them away to be forgotten I began to record them and gave the whole thing a name which was HARD DRIVE ERROR. And for real - in times of lockdown and social distancing - what can be better than a homerecording project that does not require to have to meet and rehearsal with other bandmembers? On top of that I’m lucky to have some very talented musicians who participate in this project and make the songs even more awesome than I imagined them.
The songs of HARD DRIVE ERROR are meant to bring back the spirit of the good old times when music was handmade and bands like PANTERA, NITRO and SLAYER blasted on our Stereos on a regular basis. Beavis and Butthead, Headbanger’s Ball, Kids going to concerts, campfires in the evening, a time where no one ever heard of CORONA or COVID-19 etc.
After some really encouraging words and reviews of these new tracks I will continue working on them and release a 6 Track EP this summer. Another one in December when the year ends. Both 100% DIY.
