Keel the Barber!

KTB! is a travelling band of dreamers, who create uplifting, kaleidoscopic music of various genres with bright theatrical live shows. Their music entwines genres like art rock, country, psychedelic, emo and indie folk. Each performance has a different emotional and artistic charge that leads the viewers to their inner child.
The story of the band began in 2005 when Daniel Kniazev and Vlad Amelin met at the Theatre of Youth Creativity in Saint Petersburg and, while rehearsing as actors in plays for adolescence, formed a persistent wish to create a dazzling musical act.
Officially formed in 2011 it took long time for the band to release FRIEND | SHIP studio album (prior Immortal/Ha-ha-ha! 2014 singles, Dreaming of Summer EP 2016) that led KTB! to perform at several large festivals (Stereol (...) Mehr anzeigeneto, Zavtra, Insomnia, Yaga Gathering, Anton's Right Here charity festival with Motorama and Ploho) and go on a little tour.
After that the band released a somnambulic poem Bubbo’s Hat live and EP Girls Cars Cubes with their first video clip Girls Smell Like Iron.
In 2022 KTB! participated in two Showcase festivals – New Open Showcase Festival (Ekaterinburg), Volga Fest (Samara), played at Hilvana Forum in Mexico City and after a small tour left Russia for good renaming the band from Kill the Barber! into Keel the Barber! and moved to the world to continue its musical voyage.
Now the band's main aspirations are to a lot of gigs at different inspiring places and finish a new album that is to be released October 2023. Weniger anzeigen
