Mean to You

Marc « Mulles » Muller and Jerry Kane formed Mean to You at the end of 2012 after jamming with other musicians of the Luxemburgish local scene. The band then hooked up with drummer Mot Speller (ShadoWhispers, Isiking) and guitarist Nico Parcollet (Retrace My Fragments). In 2013, Mean to You self-recorded their debut EP, Fallen. Mixing alternative rock and metal roots, Fallen got a warm welcoming from the local and international press.
In fall 2013, the band took the road to promote their first record. In 2014, Ocean Waves and Fallen are aired on a US radio station. Invited to share the stage with famous german band Guano Apes at « den Atelier » (LU), Mean to You tried to become a major actor of the Great Region alternative rock scene.
Started as a band in 2013, Mean to You is now a one-man (...) Mehr anzeigen project.
The guys parted ways in 2016 so Mulles, the bassist continued this project in his own versatile way...!
The first album after Mean to You became a solo act was the electronic album "Electronicum 1". "Electronicum I“ was mixed and mastered by Emina Helena and contains 12 pure instrumental electronic songs, with deep and dark synth-driven pop elements.
4 singles (One’s Inner Demons, Pour toi...For you, Scared and Recollection), and 2 self-made video clips (One’s Inner Demons and Pour toi...For you) were already introduced early this year.
The second album "Strong" will be a pure alternative rock/metal album again. „Strong“ will contain 6 groovy guitar and bass-oriented alternative rock/metal songs, which were recorded during the last few months. As the singer switches from more alternative rock verses to fully screamed parts, the energetic drums add modern dynamics to the album. There are no inherently soft tracks, yet all driven by the concept and lyrics of falling down or failing in life but getting up again to fight for your goals.
