Writing songs has been her no.1 passion since a very early age. Not much has changed in this direction. Snovonne keeps composing and recording new songs every day, filling her shelves with albums. Today, apart from writing, producing and recording her songs, she takes care of the visual and graphic part as well: artwork, web design , photos, etc.

Knowing she would need a (...) Mehr anzeigenbunch of good musicians for live shows, she teamed up Peter Slamecka (Gladiator – BMG/EMI), now former keyboardist, to find the right people and put the Snovonne band together.

Drummer Marek Hrabec, and bassist Peter Bales, (ex-Miscellane, selling worldwide, playing shows with My Dying Bride, Anatema, U.D.O., Threshold) have been members since 2004. Ed Balko, (guitar) joined the band in summer 2005. The fifth member in the line-up is Simon, a stuffed, one-eyed teddy Snovonne made to complete the stage act and to define the “handcrafted host” mentioned in one of her songs. He is now the audience’s sweetheart - demanding major attention from fans, as well as from the press.

A contract has been offered to one of the albums in 2004, promising major promo, huge distribution, world tour and post-production from names such as Tim Palmer and Howie Weinberg. Snovonne signed the contract on Halloween 2005. However, Vinema Records (TX, USA) failed to release the album after 2 years, despite Snovonne’s professional attitude - meeting deadlines way ahead (with graphic design and pro studio work), having bloodsweating rehearsals and most of all giving out high quality performance in order to promote the album.

During the two years of touring, Sno and her “squad” turned many places upside down. Small clubs, huge festival stages - their audience ranged from “a few” to “thousands”. They’ve shared the stage with some of the biggest acts: Alice In Chains, Scorpions, Cradle Of Filth, Die Happy, Fun Lovin’ Criminals and many other famous Slovak and Czech bands.During this short period (of just waiting for the real thing from USA?!) Snovonne’s become a phenomenon, her name smeared over all forums, fanzines, web, print magazines and hotlists of pub owners (if they had a stage). She also got the attention of the Czech/Slovak EMI, willing to promote and distribute the expected album in Central Europe.

Sadly enough, the only thing Sno was missing all this time was a reliable business partner. Starting off fresh, she moved to London in October 2006. More self-produced albums followed, the latest one - Temper - is available through this website.

During the last days of 2007 Snovonne has signed a contract with dPulse Recordings and is now working on the upcoming album: It's Sno, Baby - Not Sugar. The digital release is due in beginning '09 and will be followed by the physical release in spring of '09. Weniger anzeigen
