TOP DOWN

TOP DOWN initially started out in May 2015 in Portland, Oregon as an international trio with band members from the US, New Zealand & Germany featuring szim (git/voc, GER), Chuck Struggler (bass/voc, US) and Fiona Campbell (dr, NZ, Chain & The Gang, Vivian Girls, Coasting, The Coolies a.o.)
Shortly after the band formed Fred Cole (Dead Moon, Pierced Arrows, The Rats etc.) home-recorded and produced the band's first musical outcome that eventually turned into a 7" released by Voodoo Doughnut Recordings in May 2016.
Throughout February 2017 TOP DOWN was honored to be the support act for Fred & Toody Cole of DEAD MOOD playing shows in Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium and Scandinavia. In March 2017 Voodoo Doughnut Recordings released TOP DOWN's debut album ROUGH ROADS.
Fiona had to quit TOP DO (...) Mehr anzeigenWN in April 2017 when becoming a full-time tour manager. Shortly after Cristian Prigoană – a Berlin based drummer from Transylvania (RO) – joined the band for a West Coast Tour in summer 2017. He's playing drums on the 2nd album HARD FEELINGS which was released in summer 2019 on their own label No Chance Berlin. He had to quit the band after the recordings when moving to London.
In February 2019 Rayk Krügermann joined TOP DOWN and played drums on the 3rd album BACKYARD THUNDER (released in 2022). He decided to leave the band in spring 2021. Lucas Gutzschebauch followed for about one year. In 2022 Berlin based artist Jay Gard filled in again and became a permanent band member of TOP DOWN. Weniger anzeigen
