Hughes and Kettner Access midi controllable preamp, a great unit that feature-wise is in direct competition with the Mesa/Boogie Triaxis without reaching the Tri's tonal versatility. It still is a great preamp that allows you to store every setting you can make in it's memory and recall it in nanoseconds whenever you like. 4 loops, 2 control switches, all individually programmable make this unit the control center of your rack if you like, though it's tonal qualities should not go unmentioned, crystal-clear solid-state clean sounds and two radically different tube gain channels ranging from soft overdrive to brutal distortion make the Access nearly unbeatable.
