HERO

H.E.R.O. is currently putting the finishing touches on their debut album with legendary Danish producers Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe, Pretty Maids, and more) and Nick Foss (Dizzy Mizz Lizzy, D.A.D. and more). In the process, they have developed a unique, modern sound with huge international potential.

The band produces and records most of their material themselves in their Copenhagen studio and have been working closely with Jacob and Nick for several years since they surfaced on the Danish rock scene in 2014 with their debut single ’Superpowers’.
The band has gained critics and media attention as well as a strong fan base both in and outside of Denmark with their self titled EP and handful of singles. With more than one million streams, heavy rotation on national Danish radio, and a (...) Mehr anzeigenn impressive list of performances including touring arenas in Denmark supporting Danish rock legends Dizzy Mizz Lizzy, H.E.R.O is ready for their career to take off internationally in 2019!

Famous Japanese DJ & influental radio host Masa Ito has personally introduced the band on his popular radio show which has created a strong interest and demand for the band in Japan. As a result, H.E.R.O. is set to perform their first show in Tokyo, Japan in November 2018.
The debut album is slated for release in January 2019 with plans to tour Europe and Asia in support of the album.

“Actually, we are just a melody- enthusiastic band that plays louder than the others” says the guitarist Søren Itenov.
The band creates music collectively, and they are inspired by the many different eras of rock music starting from the sixties and up until now. Therefore, fans and listeners will be able to notice their own rock references when listening to H.E.R.O.’s music.

Since the release of their selftitled EP the guys have been quite discrete, and their first EP has been long underway, for this very simple reason: only the best is good enough.
Perfectionism is the vastest cause for progress for the group – and a prevalent challenge. Perfectionism generates progress because it creates an uncompromising process, where the song alone decides what comes next. Future plans, negotiations and releases will have to wait until everyone is satisfied with the particular song.

H.E.R.O. has a way of interpreting rock music and dragging the genre in a new direction. For example, think of a Beatles-melody with Soundgarden-riffs and Queen- harmonies... It is all about daring to do something else – something different – and that is exactly what H.E.R.O. does.
The trio has produced the album together with Nick Foss from Mermaid Records as executive producer. Moreover, Jakob Hansen, who previously worked for Dizzy Mizz Lizzy and Volbeat, has helped out with mixing.
