motte

Motte is Mona and Maxi. We met in 2019 and started making music together. During the pandemic, we kept trying to form a band, but it never quite worked out. Over the years, we recorded songs in a university course in Bremen, always with changing line-ups and friends joining in. The result was four live sessions that became the songs you can hear now on our very first own EP!
By now, our band sounds different. We've met Jan-Philipp (the best drummer!), and playing live shows feels within reach again. Still, we wanted to share this part of our musical journey with you. Perfectionism kept us from releasing it for a long time but as the world keeps shifting (hello AI), we’ve learned to embrace imperfection. We hope you enjoy it.
