Philosophy:

My art consists in communicating through music. It‘s about awakening feelings and signifying ideas. I believe myself as someone who does manipulate time with the help of his spinning machines. In my sets I always try to show my versatility and I don’t shudder changing the moods and atmospheres. I try to build up like a puzzle: so that each piece of vinyl finds some right to exist in the other (songs that complete one another). The whole set becomes a mosaik of coloured sounds. My aim is to invite the dancers to an eclectic and living trip ;-))
My performance is unique and spontaneous!

The real art of life consists in believing tha (...) Mehr anzeigent the most trivial things are wonderfull... So you can pick up Life everyday!

Biography:

born the 28th of March 1983 in Germany near Saarbrücken.

1983-1989: childhood in St. Wendel (Germany)

1989-1993: moving to St. Jean de Luz on the west coast in France. Grewing up bilingual franco-german in a music-enthusiasted family.

1993-1998: with my oldschool magnetophon I used to record some weird vocals *g* Having 2 years music theorie and 1 year piano lessons at the Conservatoire in Saint Jean de Luz. I spent my early years listening to classic music and psychedelic and pop-rock (stuff like Beegees, Elton John, The Wings, Dire Straits, Falco, Mike Oldfield, Sting, Pink Floyd... and much more) my mother always had on. My first idol was Michael Jackson!

1998-2000: first contact with electronic dance music through progressive trance as I used to move to north-spanish clubs in San Sebastian. There I first really vibrated on the dancefloor. I love the physical expression, I like dancing very much ;-) Feel the FUNK ;-) "Move your body... move!"

2000-2002: pharmacy studies @ University Bordeaux (France). Discovering hard- and Detroit-techno. Visiting the well-known techno-club "le 4 Sans" in Bordeaux. A good DJ-friend gave me the idea to interest myself for the art of DJing.

Winter 2002: technical studies in chemistry @ Technical Institut for Chemistry St. Avold (France). Buying the basic equipment to start DJing.
I'm opened to very different styles! I more specially play minimal detroit sounds and funky or deep tech-house. The sounds I prefer are melodic, latin, funky, percussive and sometimes melancholic... There must be a right balance between happy and sad feelings!

In June 2004: I gave up my studies. Settling down in St. Wendel ---> back to my roots ;-) I became part of Pulsar Entertainment as a DJ. And after a time mailing about music, Carla Blank asked me to send her a tape, she recognized my talent and I entered the crew of her own label: „Unter Druck“ Records.

2005: learning harmonic mixing. Interesting myself for underground Hip Hop and Drum'n Bass. I'm always looking for something new, special, beautifull, upstanding! Combining vinyl to a higher level, it means fusionating longly and smoothly two musical sequences, which should responde to each other (melodies or vocals for example), in order to create a unique and original whole. The aim is to approach the idea of a rework simply messing two or more analog sources ;-) The musical period while the tracks are melting together is to be identified as a new and original song... a new form of listening emerges. An All in one track is created ;-)

Thanks to 3rd place at the Open DJ Session in Saarbrücken I have been mixing 04.11.2005 @ the Electricity Festival for electronic music in Saarbrücken, be there ;-)

End 2005: collaboration with a french turntablist: DJ Cedric with 3 turntables. Launching underground House Music parties with Daniel Engel (Saarlouis, Germany) @ self-made location "Beatkeller" in Schillingen (Germany). Enhancing my DJ-Skills with a third Technics MK2... Be ready for the next step!

Open DJ Session @ Garage (Saarbrücken) Review:

"We feel very well about our third placed Philippe La PlastiQue, who has been enhancing his skills over the last competitions to convince the jury with his need-to-be-heard soulful tech-house sets. Now we expect this young french DJ to play at the hypest parties in Saarbrücken. Congratulations!" Mark05 - audiodidakt.net
