Sterbenswille

Post-black metal with melancholic vibes and cohesion.
Sterbenswille means the will to die. A strong word, a profound statement that makes you swallow.
The band's name arose from a very sad experience of one of the founding members and immediately describes the content of the Bavarian post-black metal band from Altötting: it's about topics such as depression, grief, pain and about talking about these things, exchanging ideas and finding courage to face life again by sharing experiences and suffering!

After many shows in Germany and Austria their debut album "Dunkelheit" (CD + vinyl) was released in July 2023 and was followed by further shows with acts such as "Groza", "Imha Tarikat", "Funeral Pile" and the Munich death metal band "Hailstone".

At the sold-out Sinister Feast in Wels, Austr (...) Mehr anzeigenia, in November '23, Sterbenswille opened for bands like "Psychonaut4", "Germ", "Happy Days" and many more, and their sound and appearance were so convincing that they were booked directly for August '24 at the Met-Bar (Switzerland).

The band is currently working on a new album and more shows.
