GERMAN VERSION

Die Band KNOW YOUR FOE besteht seit Anfang 2004
und kommt aus dem Großraum Koblenz.

Ihr Sound setzt sich zusammen aus Punk-Rock und Hardcore Elementen, gemixt mit Metal-Einflüssen. Dadurch unterscheiden sich die Songs sehr in Bezug auf Geradlinigkeit auf der einen und Komplexität auf der anderen Seite.

Nur wenige Monate nach der Gründung der Band, nahmen Raphael, Jens, Mike, Tobi und Jörg ihre Debüt-EP "First Strike" im Angelberg Studio auf, welche 4 Songs beinhaltet.

Regionale und überregionale Gigs folgten in den nächsten zwei Jahren bis es Zeit war sich erneut ins Studio zurückzuziehen. Das Ergebnis namens "IDYLLIC SILENCE" erschien im Mai 2007 und enthält 7 energiegeladene Songs zwischen Punk, Hardcore und Metal.

Nach 2 Besetzungswechseln ist das Line-Up nun wieder (...) Mehr anzeigenstabil und die Band im Januar / Februar 2009 auf Deutschlandtour mit Society Off.

ENGLISH VERSION

KNOW YOUR FOE was formed in 2004 and hails from Koblenz / Germany.

Their sound is settled between melodic hardcore and punk, mixed up with some metal-elements. Fast,smashing drumparts and hard bass and guitarriffs create an independent hardness. The aggressive, powerful voice completes the songs in combination with the background voices.

The first DEMO-EP "FIRST STRIKE" was recorded in may/june 2004 with the help of P.Nörtershäuser at Angelberg-Studios and contains 4 tracks.

Regional and nationwide shows followed in the next 2 years, till it was time to enter the studio once more. The result of these recordings, called “IDYLLIC SILENCE” was released in may 2007 and contains 7 fast, smashings songs.

After 2 changes within the band, the line-up is steady again and the band is heading for their first tour through Germany supporting SOCIETY OFF.
